The opportunity emerged following our strategic partner disinvestment from their African operations.
The partnership builds on a long-standing collaboration that began in the early 2021s, when António served as Managing Partner leading Project Finance and M&A across Southern Africa at Finergreen Southern Africa.
Under their leadership, the team rapidly scaled its relevance in the South African infrastructure and energy finance market, closing four major project finance transactions in 2024 alone across BESS and solar PV, representing over USD 0.5 billion in aggregate deal value. This included a transaction recognised as IJ Global Renewable Deal of the Year – Solar Africa, underscoring the team’s ability to execute award-winning,
market-defining deals.
